Yvette Schussler is a lover of the wild beings of this Earth and a student of the lessons they gift us. She spends her time cultivating connection with herself, her people and the wilderness - exploring the magic of the seen and unseen. Many of her days are also spent at Milk and Honey Cafe in Portland, Maine creating herbal remedies that honor the plant world and its wisdom.
Susan B. Anderson
Susan lives in Madison, Wisconsin, where she and her son run Barrett Wool Co. (barrettwoolco.com). Susan has authored six knitting books, offers three Craftsy workshops, and for the past ten years has written her mostly knitting blog at susanbanderson.blogspot.com. Susan’s favorite part of her knitting career is being a knitting teacher and meeting knitters from all over the world.

Skyler is a mixed-media artist living in Dallas, Texas. She earned her BFA from Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado. Her work celebrates the vitality, beauty, and fragility that emerge in the formation of new spaces for life: plant, animal, personal, and social. She loves goats, chocolate, and bluesy jazz. Sarah Waldman
Sarah fell in love with food while playing “cooking show” with her little sister in the 1980s. Now she spends her time being a mother, food writer, and recipe developer. As a health-focused home cook, Sarah develops and offers recipes for simple, whole-food meals appropriate for every member of the family. Sarah's work has been featured in Real Simple, Edible Vineyard, Food52, The Coastal Table, and Parents Magazine. Sarah lives on Martha’s Vineyard with her husband and two boys. Her cookbook, Feeding a Family: A Real-Life Plan for Making Dinner Work, hit the shelves in 2017.
Rachel Grant
Rachel Grant is a freelance artist based in North Staffordshire, UK. Her mixed media artwork incorporates collage, acrylic, and digital tools to create multi-layered, textural illustrations that reflect her love of history, textiles and time-worn surfaces. Oriana Koren
Oriana Koren is an editorial photographer and writer based in Los Angeles, CA whose work is anchored in food, culture, and travel. Interested in the intersections of food, history, and community, Koren’s work is shaped by the fusion of personal narrative and in-depth documentary practice focusing on the principal contributions of people of color, immigrant, and womxn’s communities within American foodways and food culture.
Morgan Padgett
Morgan lives for days spent moving silently along a forest trail. The diverse lands and mountains surrounding her Seattle home endlessly call her into wild spaces. Through pen and ink she seeks to capture the quiet wisdom of wildlife. She is moved by the complexity of the natural world, adventuring with her students and journeying abroad. McKenzie Elizabeth Ditter
McKenzie is a self-taught illustrator and photographer living just outside Baltimore, Maryland. She screenprints on vintage linens, loves painting starry skies, and self-published her first book in 2015 called The ABCs of Homesteading. Her work centers around nature and the magic of childhood. Mathilde Cinq-Mars
Mathilde Cinq-Mars is a feminist freelance illustrator. She likes to get out her pencils and watercolours to draw people, flowers and to pine after good old days. Her work has been published in many books and magazines. She lives in Québec with her daughter and a lot of dried flowers.
Martha Miller
Martha Miller has been creating portraits and self-portraits for over thirty years, working in a variety of media. She holds a BFA in Printmaking from Maine College of Art and has work is in numerous collections including the California Palace of the Legion of Honor, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, CA. Martha teaches drawing through the Continuing Studies Department at Maine College of Art and maintains a studio in Woolwich where she lives with her husband, Garry.
Margaret Hathaway
Margaret is an author, and since 2005 she has lived with her husband, Karl Schatz, on Ten Apple Farm, their homestead in southern Maine, where they raise dairy goats, assorted poultry, and three daughters. Visit them at tenapplefarm.com.
Lauren Pignatello
Lauren Pignatello is a mother of 7, traditional folk herbalist and ACS award winning cheese and yogurt maker. Lauren started studying herbs as a teen growing up in NYC. She moved to the rocky coast of Maine and grew a family as well as a family business, Swallowtail Farm, with Sean Pignatello. Lauren recently opened a farm cafe and apothecary, Milk and Honey of Swallowtail Farm in Portland, Maine, where she gives consultations and herbal classes on healing and community herbalism as well as dairy making classes.
