Tom is a brewer in central Vermont. He lives with his wife in an old farmhouse where he spends as much time as possible outdoors. He is a beekeeper, gardener and guitarist, and he enjoys baking naturally-leavened bread.
Thorpe Moeckel
Thorpe teaches at Hollins University and lives in and explores the wilds of western Virginia, often with his children. Awarded a 2011 NEA Fellowship in poetry, his fourth collection, Arcadia Road: A Trilogy, was published in fall 2015 by Etruscan Press. A nonfiction book, Watershed Days, was published in spring 2015. Tara Thayer
Tara lives with her husband Tim in a small yellow house, in the town in which she was born. Together they are raising six daughters, two cats, and a Labrador puppy. With the addition of the words writer and photographer to wife and mother, she is now exactly what she wanted to be when she grew up.
Stephen Pullan
Stephen is a father, homesteader, artist and dreamer. He hangs his hat in solar powered yurts where he writes songs, bakes bread and strums the banjo. Stacey Cramp
Stacey Cramp is a freelance photographer with a love of the written word. She has supplied the photography for seven cookbooks and, most recently, for an herbal gardening and remedy book. She regularly contributes images to a host of local and national publications and businesses. Skyler McGee
Skyler is a mixed-media artist living in Dallas, Texas. She earned her BFA from Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado. Her work celebrates the vitality, beauty, and fragility that emerge in the formation of new spaces for life: plant, animal, personal, and social. She loves goats, chocolate, and bluesy jazz. Shari Altman
Shari Altman is a writer, photographer, and administrative assistant, who lives in rural Vermont with her husband, three cats, seven chickens, and a few hives of bees. She is the co-founder of Literary North, an organization that provides a carefully selected calendar of literary events in Vermont and New Hampshire and partners with the local literary community to promote and host literary-related events. For the past several years, she has had a quarterly column in Amirisu magazine. Lately, she's all about dahlias, fried okra, her monthly writing group, and weekend trips to New York City.
Shannon Herrick
Shannon is a mixed-media artist, writer, photographer and farmer, navigating the wilderness of modern life from a Little House in the Young Woods of southern Vermont. Rikki Snyder
Rikki is a freelance photographer, stylist and writer currently residing in Queens, New York. She grew up in the heart of the beautiful Hudson Valley with a wonderful family focused on food. Phoebe Wahl
Phoebe grew up unschooled in Washington state and credits her 'free range' childhood for much of her inspiration and work ethics. She graduated from RISD in 2013 and makes everything from tiny paintings to giant puppets. Her work revolves around themes of comfort, nostalgia and connection to nature and one another.
