Does your REFRESH need a refresh? We’d like to think that after 49 issues, we’ve encountered all the surprises that making a magazine can bring. But how boring would life be without surprises – good and bad! We’ve recently discovered that some copies our latest issue, REFRESH, are arriving to you with a weak binding and loose pages. We are working with our printer to sort out what went wrong on press, as this hasn’t happened before.
We are a small team – passionate about what we do and incredibly proud of the content and quality of our magazine. Each issue birthed is a celebration of the hard work and dedication of our artists, contributors, and in-house team. To say we are disappointed to discover this error is an understatement. As an ad-free magazine, our subscribers are our backbone and entire focus, and we are sorry to disappoint you! If you are one of the folks who received a damaged copy, please do reach out to us at subscribe@taprootmag.com so that we may send you a replacement copy right away. (All messages will be directed to customer service - for the quickest response, we recommend starting there!) All of the magazines in our Portland warehouse are fully intact and we want you to have that. There is too much goodness inside this issue we don’t want you to miss! Candied orange cake and a foot soak? Yes, please!
As you might imagine, not only is this a disappointment to us, but it’s also a big financial hit for our small business at an already difficult time. If you are passionate about what we create at Taproot and able to spread the word of our magazine to your friends and family, this would be a very helpful time at which to do so. New subscriptions, renewals, back issue sales, and shopping our Market are what keep us in business! We are so grateful for this community of makers, doers, and dreamers that gather around our pages with each issue. We thank you for your understanding and support!
