This kit includes a hand-carved block printed image of a rabbit in a botanical frame on a 5 x 7" piece of tea-dyed organic cotton/hemp fabric,  colors of embroidery floss, a hand sewing needle, a guide to basic stitches, and photo inspiration.
The block printed image is like a page in a coloring book, and the needle and thread is like your pen. Consider stitching this project without a plan, as if you are doodling. Be mindful of color balance and white space, stitch concentration and variety. By using basic stitches, you can transform this simple image into a little work of art.

Meet the Maker: Kata Golda
Kata Golda is a craft studio in the mossy seaside town of Port Townsend, WA run by Taproot Contributor Alison Kaplan. The business is named after Alison’s great grandmothers who laid the foundation for hand work in her family. Kata Golda preserves and promotes crafts such as needlework, letterpress, pottery, hand-dyed textiles, stitched felt and bookbinding. Alison finds inspiration for her work in the woods, farmlands and beaches of her Pacific Northwest wonderland.
