Young or old, we all can play dress up sometimes! Wear a crown to celebrate an occasion, or elevate the everyday! This kit contains all you need to make the Crowns for All Ages, as featured in upcoming Issue 45::PLAY. Be ready to get started, as soon as your issue arrives! 

Each DIY kit contains all you need to make your own Crown! Including below materials, plus a sewing needle, straight pins, tracing paper, templates, instructions, and guide to basic stitches. Skill level is advanced beginner.

red & light grey wool felt
42" strand of orange plant-dyed
hand-torn silk ribbon
bright red, ochre, & black cotton embroidery floss

Superstars:
ochre & soft white wool felt
42" strand of red plant-dyed

Radiant Sun:
deep pink & soft yellow wool felt

Meet the Maker: Kata Golda
Kata Golda is a craft studio in the mossy seaside town of Port Townsend, WA run by Taproot Contributor Alison Kaplan.  The business is named after Alison’s great grandmothers who laid the foundation for hand work in her family. Kata Golda preserves and promotes crafts such as needlework, letterpress, pottery, hand-dyed textiles, stitched felt and bookbinding. Alison finds inspiration for her work in the woods, farmlands and beaches of her Pacific Northwest wonderland.
