Ceramic garlic graters are great for preparing any meal with garlic. This garlic plate is handmade from a white stoneware clay. To use the garlic grater bowl, simply rub a peeled clove of garlic over the raised bumps in the center. The grater can also be used to grate fresh ginger or can even double as a spoon rest.
These ceramic garlic graters are food, dishwasher and microwave safe. Be careful, they can get hot! All Lafayette Avenue kitchen pottery and ceramics items are handmade on a pottery wheel and fired in a kiln to cone 6 for durability. Because of the handmade nature of the product, slight variations in shape, size and glaze coverage/color may occur. These are not considered flaws, but rather, unique details that make each piece one-of-a-kind.

Meet the Maker ~ Lafayette Avenue Ceramics
Originally from Philadelphia, Jillian Schimmel moved to Phoenix in 2008 to study ceramics at Arizona State University. She fell in love with the heat and the sunsets and never looked back. She launched Lafayette Avenue Ceramics to share her passion and knowledge of sustainable living through her ceramic work. The name Lafayette Avenue is an ode to a quaint street in Ventnor City, New Jersey, where the front doors are always open, and families gather on the front porch to enjoy the ocean view. This is where Jillian spent her summers, dreaming and falling in love with this beautiful world we live in. When she’s not making a mess in her studio, you’ll find her practicing hot yoga, baking anything chocolate, reading, and planning her next cross-country road trip.
