THE HOME OF TAPROOT MAGAZINE | BOOKS | HANDMADE GOODS | CRAFTS | PLANTS

Taproot Market is our brick and mortar space in Portland, Maine where you can find all current and available back issues of the magazine, books from our contributors, Taproot Goods including mugs, travels jars, calendars and tote bags, and a carefully curated selection of handmade goods by makers from Maine and beyond who we admire. Everything that you see on the website, is also available in the market. We also carry an array of plants and dried flowers from Broadturn Farm in Scarborough, Maine.

The Market is a bright, cozy, creative space where we also make the magazine, and host a range of community events. Past events have included makers markets, craft nights, a knitting workshop, a magazine launch party, and more. Stay tuned to see what's next for us.

We are located in the East Bayside Neighborhood of Portland, Maine near Tandem Coffee + Roastery, Baharat, and just down the hill from the Washington Avenue shops and restaurants.

A NOTE REGARDING CURRENT HOURS - SPRING 2020

The Taproot Market on Fox Street in Portland will be temporarily closed, out of concern for the health of our community and our team. Our magazine production, online shop and daily shipping will continue to operate as normal. (We are shipping daily, with diligent sanitation practices in our warehouse and shipping areas.) Please see our April 4th update on International Shipping.

We hope that this storm passes with the least amount of harm for all. And that as we are all taking in news and preparing, that we also strive to find peace of mind and heart. Take a walk in the woods, breathe fresh air, stay close to home, get cozy, and maybe get a little crafty. (It might be time to peruse those back issues of Taproot on your shelves!)

As always, we thank you for your support of Taproot and the people who make it! -The Taproot Team
