Each of these one-of-a-kind potholders is handmade from what would otherwise be "waste" fabric scraps. The linen, cotton, and often hand-dyed materials are quilted with a layer of heat-resistant insulation and feature a hanging loop.
Meet the Maker: Amanda Blake Soule
Amanda is the owner and editor of Taproot Magazine. A mother, author, and maker at heart, she enjoys creating utilitarian home goods with found and upcycled materials, fabrics, and inspiration from the garden. Each piece is one of a kind, and lovingly made by hand in small batches, as a mindful and meditative process and balance to the work of running the magazine.
