Wooden Block Set
Are they driftwood or meteorite? Neither! They're Maineland's "rock blocks". Tumbled, notched, stained, finished and burnished, this 30-piece set of irregularly cut wood blocks combine to form intriguing landscapes, challenging stacks, and beautiful color arrangements. Our blocks are made from northeastern ash, stained with water-based pigments, and sealed with a food-safe salad bowl finish. Designed to inspire imaginative play, these stacking blocks will appeal to children and adults.

Meet the Maker ~ Maineland Design Co
Lucas Myers is one of the three founders of Maineland Design Co that produces home-decor goods that spin a yarn of intrigue and whimsy. Maineland is a company started by two families; lifelong friends, parents, nature enthusiasts, and proud Maine residents. Although their skill sets are diverse, they share a passion, if not compulsion, for enhancing their living space. Their productions, designed by nationally recognized artist Andrew Rosen, embody the plainspoken charm of well-loved utilitarian objects, the New England no-nonsense approach to design and a penchant for folklore. Ultimately, they hope their home-decor wares provoke imaginative contemplation from their viewers and lend a playful elegance to the living space of their owners. Although service-ware is their initial setting for the inhabitants of Maineland, their designs will ultimately reside in the artisanal productions of quilts, towels, aprons, 3-d sculpture, children's toys, furniture and more.
