Matika Wilbur is from the Swinomish and Tulalip Tribes and is the founder and photographer of Project 562, with a mission to change the way we see Native America. Matika has journeyed to over 500 sovereign nations within the borders of the United States to photograph Indigenous folks and is creating an unprecedented reposi- tory of images and oral histories that accurately portrays contemporary Native Americans.
