Kate Franzmann
Kate ekes out a little time to write between hugging trees, dancing in daisies, chasing chickens and goats, and pulling weeds from the kale. She shares a beautiful hill in southwestern Wisconsin with her husband and four quirky homeschooled kids, all of whom simultaneously drive her crazy and fill her days with joy.

Julia is an independent journalist, farminista, and micro-press publisher. She’s the author of a full-length poetry collection, The Academy of Hay (Bona Fide Books, 2015), as well as Adam’ s Mark: Writing from the Ox-House (Plowboy Press, 2014), a braided essay about farming and writing. Jenny Lee Fowler
Jenny is an artist and educator living in New York’s Hudson River Valley. She cuts traditional silhouette portraits and her original paper cuttings are drawn from family, field, forest, and folk. Jennifer Judd-McGee
Jennifer is a full-time artist and mother of two. She recently renovated an old house with her family and works from home in her downeast Maine studio. Paper cutting and illustration are her primary mediums, and her work is influenced by her coastal surroundings. Holly Bellebuono
Holly connects plants with people. She directs the award-winning Vineyard Herbs Teas and Apothecary on Martha’s Vineyard and the Bellebuono School of Herbal Medicine. She is the author of several books about herbal medicine and women’s empowerment, including The Essential Herbal for Natural Health and Women Healers of the World.
Gretchen Davidson
Gretchen lives with her large, extended family in the mountains. She is currently working towards her master's degree in social work at Smith College. She has been published on the Feminist Wire blog, but never before in print! Gretchen is committed to social justice and liberation, nurturing healthy communities and raising happy, healthy, powerful children.
Gemma Mortlock
Gemma is an illustrator living in Kent with her partner Ashley and their two-year old Hermann tortoise Ernie. She creates whimsical and quirky illustrations which she sells online and promotes on her blog. Erin Benzakein
Erin is the founder of Floret (floretflowers.com) and author of the new book Floret Farm’s Cut Flower Garden: Grow, Harvest, and Arrange Stunning Seasonal Blooms. Erin lives with her husband, two children, and a small flock of chickens on a two-acre farm in Mount Vernon, Washington. In addition to operating the farm’s cut-flower business, Erin also oversees Floret’s specialty seed company and training workshops that attract flower farmers and designers from across the globe.

Christine Chitnis is an author and photographer. Her book, Patterns of India: A Journey Through Colors, Textiles and the Vibrancy of Rajasthan (Clarkson Potter, March 2020) is a visual experience that offers intimate insights into the diverse and richly hued Western Indian culture. She lives with her husband and three young children, Vijay, Vikram and Meera, in Providence, Rhode Island.
